for the wonderful love notes! Check out all of our submissions from previous years.
The staff is the best. They make everything accessible and easy to find. I even told them about a book I needed and couldn’t remember all the title. They found it!! So consistently dependable. Love you all💕💕
- Susan
This is an appreciation to the two librarians from the Lakewood Branch who were at CC Young yesterday, helping residents obtain DPL library cards and showing the wonderful array of programs available at their branch!
- Cynthia
I love the public library because I find books that I would have never thought of looking up. Also, libraries often have events that inform, empower, and educate.
- Rebecca
I love the library because it allows people to gain knowledge for free.
- John
I like the way when I visit my branch (Oaklawn) all the staff out front greet me in a friendly way.
- Cynthia
I love my library! I have moved a number of times & the very first thing I do after moving in is to apply for a library card! Then I am home!
- Nancy
I love the library because it is such an amazing resource for our community! The library isn't just a building with books; it's a vibrant hub that fosters connection, inspiration, and a love for lifelong learning. I'm grateful for the countless moments of discovery and joy the library has gifted me, making it an irreplaceable part of my life.
- Kasey
I love, love, love the Hampton Illinois Library. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I appreciate being able to use the computers, printers, and copier when I have an emergency. Being able to order books and have them delivered to my local branch is a great service.
- Judy
I love the library because it’s a great resource for our communities, it provides free resources for the public, and it is a safe space of learning and enjoying community activities!
- Baylee
I love my DPL because growing up it gave me access to internet, a place to study, and nurtured my love for books. Later as a senior in high school enjoyed working as a Page. Now enjoy going to the library with my son. Thank you for all that you DPL staff!
- Sarah
I love my Dallas Public Library because I am able to find my favorite reads for my book club consistently and when I visit different branches I’m always excited to see public art and community engagement!
- Kristine
They have so many good books. During COVID, I became an e-book fanatic. I’m still an e-book fanatic and have learned to love audiobooks. I have read 10 books this year either in Libby or Hoopla. I do not make it into the actual building very often.
- Kelly
Painting With The Library brought out my artistic side! I have been painting every month since this summer and I absolutely love it! The fact that it is offered virtually is a plus for me. I have a bedridden sibling, and this offers us a great chance to do something fun together. I love it so much, that I invited 15 of my closest friends to join me for my birthday. I really, really love Painting with the Library!
- Brenda
I love to take my children to the Dallas Public Library branches to pick out books in English and Spanish, play in the play spaces and attend story hour.
As a child, I loved my local public library in the Chicago suburbs and was there most weekends checking out books. My mom also credits the San Antonio library with providing her a quiet place to study and helping her prepare for college.
My mom was a first-generation college student.
Libraries play a central role in improving educational outcomes for children and therefore improving the education levels in our communities. In that sense, they play a role in economic development in Dallas as well.
- Katherine
I love my library because of the fond memories I have of taking my children there for storytime when they were young. We also checked out many books and spent time reading together as a family. During Reading Rally, a fundraiser at Providence Christian School, we raised funds by reading together, which improved their fluency and comprehension. Being able to instill in my children a love of reading is a gift that any parent can give! XOXO
- Juliette
I want to extend my deepest gratitude for all that you provide. Your shelves hold a treasure trove of knowledge, entertainment, and inspiration, accessible to all who seek it. What amazes me most is that everything you offer is freely available, from the latest best sellers to rare historical texts. Your commitment to providing resources without cost barriers is truly remarkable and makes a world of difference in our community. Thank you for being a beacon of inclusivity, education, and enrichment for all. With heartfelt appreciation,
Andrea Pender
I love the library because it has such helpful staff no matter what branch I visit in the city of Dallas. I love being able to access tv shows via Hoopla, ordering books on the DPL app and attending book clubs sponsored by the library.
- Stan
I really appreciate the Dallas Library, and all those who work/volunteer at the locations!
- Tammy
My love affair with all libraries began when I was a child. My Dad would pack up the kids and take us to the library generally followed by ice cream afterwards. I still go to the library but rarely get the ice cream. I guess I love libraries more than ice cream! Thank you Dallas Public Library, I truly love you!

The Dallas Public Library is a critical fixture in the life of our family. From days with toddlers wanting new books for story time, to school-age children practicing their reading or checking out summer reading list books or simply any of us finding new fun reads, we are thankful for the library in our lives! Thank you for extending hours so we can check out books on more nights and weekends. Thank you to all who work in the library for patiently and enthusiastically helping us find new titles!
- Carol
February, a month of cozy nooks and whispered tales, beckons us to embrace the library’s embrace. 📚❤️ Dallas Public Library, your shelves cradle secrets, your pages echo dreams. From the hush of ancient tomes to the hum of digital whispers, you weave a tapestry of knowledge and wonder. Let’s pen love letters in ink and pixels, celebrating the silent symphony of readers lost in your labyrinth. 💌 Dear Dallas Public Library, Your spines bear witness to countless lives—each chapter a heartbeat, each cover a portal. You harbor mysteries, romances, and adventures, waiting for curious souls to turn the key. In your quiet corners, minds unfurl like delicate petals. Children trace their dreams in crayon, elders sip wisdom from worn leather. The scent of paper and possibility lingers—a potion for the heart. So here’s to you, dear library, keeper of stories and seeker of seekers. May your stacks stand tall, your librarians wear capes, and your patrons find solace in your bound embrace. With love and overdue fines,
- Steve
When I was in the third grade I was chosen to be part of a public library conference because I was at the library all the time. Thus began my love affair with advocacy for the library. These warm and inviting places have been a part of my life forever. I still live close enough to walk to the Lakewood Library and am there a couple of times a week. The children's area, named after my good friend, Linda Hankinson is always lively, the newspaper is there for me to peruse, and that miraculous section where all the books that people have asked for always has a few books with my name waiting for me. The librarians, who started out being my age and who are now much younger than me, are always ready with a smile and an answer to a question. Most importantly, computer time is available for anyone who needs it and we all need it today. There is no other service provided by the City of Dallas that meets the needs of so many people for FREE. I do not hesitate to write my City Councilperson when it is budget time to remind them that the Dallas Public Library system deserves the funding asked for in the budget. I am a member of the Friends of the Library, Lakewood Library Friends, and Skillman Southwestern Friends and always attend any book sale sponsored by them. I consider my advocacy for the library system a labor of love willingly given to sustain the most honorable service provided by the City of Dallas to its citizens.
- Karen
The director helps make our monthly book discussion group possible. I really appreciate her help. And I love being able to order books that I can pick up at my local branch.
- Jean
The staff is friendly and helpful. I'm so glad to have a source for so many books which I do not have to store once I am finished reading.
- Sarah
The staff on the 7th floor are simply the best. They know the collections and enjoy assisting researchers.
- Russell
I appreciate the staff at the Highland Hills Library.
- Yolanda
I appreciate the library staff for all they do for us library members!
- Tammy
Convenient and offers good service.
- Judy
I can be a selfish person. We're all that way, right? So, that's why I love the DPL and particularly the Preston Royal Branch. Because they obviously love me. When I forget to renew my books--always--they do that for me online! And when I can't find a book that's on hold for me, they show me in a kind and loving way that it's right there on the shelf where I just looked. There's a limit to love, of course. They won't do my laundry.
- Gabriel
I just "discovered" the watercolor class at the downtown library! What an excellent resource! I have attended my first class there and am excited to continue. I am also excited to "discover" more great programs offered through the Dallas libraries. Love y'all!!
- Laura
About 15 years ago, I saw how much I had spent on books the previous year and was shocked. I decided to experiment with only reading books from the library. Since then, I have never been without good reading material. If a new book comes out that I want and is popular, I get in line and eventually get it. Thanks for your prompt, friendly service and excellent online system.
- Craig
I love that our library system offers interesting. educational and fun classes - like sign language and watercolor painting! I also really appreciate the link to Libby so I can listen to audiobooks on my phone. THANK YOU TO ALL THE FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF!!
- Stephani
I am comforted to know my library is always available. I love visiting in person, but how fabulous to be able to check out an ebook at midnight because I need something new to read right away! And a huge shout out to Kjerstine Nielsen, the first Dallas Public Librarian to assist me with my school’s summer reading program almost 30 years ago, and who is a stalwart of the Dallas Public Library system!
- Bonnie
I want to thank Monique Christian-Long and Misty Mayberry for engaging me & the Hamilton Park original homeowners/descendants in sharing our stories. The recorded stories will be helpful for interested person’s to know.. The library has been a calming place for me to relax and discover through reading, observing exhibits, & research. Thank you Forest Green Branch & archives floor downtown.
- Patricia
My library builds community for all!
- Emily
The outstanding work of our librarians to serve our community is amazing.
- Patti
Everyone is very friendly, efficient and helpful.
- Rita
I so missed the library during the pandemic, almost as much as restaurants. (A girl’s gotta eat!) I appreciate all you do and can’t wait to sample some of the new services you’re offering. I will always support you getting ample funding. You’re the gems(s) of Dallas
- Kimberly
Thanks to the genealogy staff on the eighth floor of the downtown library. I appreciate you for answering my questions and reshelving my stacks of books!
- Sara
I love that I can reserve books on line and can pick up the books at curbside. Curbside pickup helps me because I use a rollator to walk from my car into the library.
- Laura
Since I was a child, libraries have been everything to me. I love J. Erik Jonsson Central Library because their services as a librarian is a way to serve our community as strong libraries build strong researchers and informed researchers build strong community/nations. Libraries are a cornerstone of democracy—where information is free and equally available to everyone. People tend to take that for granted, and they don’t realize what is at stake when that is put at risk.
- Amir
The children's section is amazing!! The toys and activities are boundless and always so clean and well maintained. Our reserved books are always waiting for us and the shelves are always organized and ready to select more reading adventures. Thank you so much library staff! Visiting the library with my little one is one of our favorite activities :)
- Brittney
Shout out to librarians Alicia Deal and Sherry Cortes at the Downtown Branch who originated an annual true crime program, including a monthly book club, that combines education, reading, camaraderie, and fun for patrons such as me, who have enjoyed and continue to look forward to each event. Thank you Dallas Public Library for hosting the program and for putting it in the hands of such wonderful and talented facilitators.
- Rita
I love being able to request books via the card catalog online and picking them up from my closest branch! I love that I can find old titles, many rare or out of print, such as those recommended in NYT Read Like the Wind newsletter. As a teacher, I am so grateful for the free way to keep my classroom library stocked with beautiful books that reflect the children I teach and the topics of study. This also allows me to rotate books frequently which keeps my students interested and excited for independent reading time. I love the library staff who are always willing to answer questions and assist with technology. The libraries are warm, welcoming spaces for everyone and one of the last well functioning, easily accessible public amenities for all residents of the city to enjoy and utilize. Thank you so much!
- Patricia
My library is a vacation-- I can escape into books that mentally take me away. My library is a sanctuary-- it provides a quiet place to focus and be productive. My library is a place of fellowship-- our community room brings neighbors together and gives opportunities to be enriched through relationships My library is a place for love-- it's inclusive, it's positive, it opens hearts and minds
- Kristine

I love my Dallas Library Systems more than you can possibly imagine! They are the reason kids (especially my Twins) enjoy putting their Imaginations to work, and can practice such amazing phonics skills, and context clues. If Home is where your heart is, then My Heart is in a cozy corner chair at the Preston Royal library with a terrific title by Max Wise! We love you Dallas Libraries, and we always will!
- Amanda
I absolutely love my library! The librarians are so knowledgeable, friendly, and thoughtful. When my child was having difficulty finding a book series that she wanted to read, the librarian made some wonderful suggestions and helped her request other books to be delivered to our branch. When I have cleared out my bookshelves, the library is always delighted to take in my books for others to enjoy - whether through sales to benefit the library or through stocking of the shelves. The monthly theme spotlight of books always sparks my interest and I'm astounded by the thoughtfulness that the librarians put into the display. My favorite one ever was an empty table with a sign that said, "Please be Patient. Our display on procrastination will be up soon." There is so much more that goes on there besides books!
- Jennifer
The folks at the Lochwood Branch Library are always helpful and kind. I just walked to the Library today to return a book and pick up another one on hold. It was my first time to walk to the Library and I was a bit tired. While talking to the nice lady at the desk, I commented that I was walking and my new book was heavier than the one I had returned. Right away she offered me a backpack which I gratefully accepted. It was much easier to carry the book home in the bag—and the bag promotes the Library to all who passed me on the street. I love the Library—it’s a wonderful resource for the residents of Dallas.
- Donna
Pre-Pandemic, I used to visit the library with my daughter. We absolutely loved browsing and reading new books. She enjoyed the games available on the computer. I've always known libraries were resourceful but it was only after visiting and signing up for newsletters that I was introduced to the true abundance of available resources. During the Pandemic, I must commend the librarians who continued to work at the libraries and sanitize books for us to make them available still. It was then I got more into ebooks and audiobooks. Post-Pandemic, I am continuing my reading journey remotely but have continued to advocate for our Dallas Public Libraries. I know of a handful of friends who have signed up for library cards and are now using DPL's services. That's my story for the past few years and I want to sincerely thank every single worker and staff member of our libraries for continuing to push on during hard times. Your existence and work helped my family through tough times. I want you all to know—from librarians to content creators, email writers to workshop leaders—your hard work does not go unnoticed; you are seen. Thank you all.
- Patricia
The Preston Royal Library is like a home away from home for me! One of my favorite hobbies is "managing" my library account (What's on hold? What might show up next?) . We stop by once or twice a week to pick up and drop off books. It's so great to be able to take risks trying books from the library in an affordable way rather than buying every title that catches my fancy!
- Paula
I love my Skyline Library! I moved into the neighborhood (just south of Military) about 9 years ago and I've used different resources as my life has changed over the years. From clean and safe voting to resources for my newborns, kiddie corner and now full-blown readers! I've even rented space for meetings! Thank you for always being so accommodating!
- Aisha
To the wonderful staff at the Dallas Public Library, thank you for always going above and beyond helping us find what we need. Your knowledge and willingness to help us make our trips to the library always enjoyable. I truly appreciate your help and I hope a note like this shows you just how much you mean to us all!
- Michael
I love how friendly the staffers are at each Library branch. Regardless if we visit the Skyline, Prairie Creek or Lakewood, we get lovely literally support!
- Aisha
Thank you to the lovely staff at Timberglen! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I would be lost without my audiobooks and I appreciate all you do.
- Janelle
I love my library because the librarians are so friendly and helpful. They help me with research when I hit a dead end and suggest new databases to try. I like to check Ancestry.com for new postings. My next project is transferring my old 8MM home movies to a flash drive. And it is all free!
- Ann
My library is a safe place where imaginations can run wild.
- Stephanie
Couldn't live without the resourcefulness and courtesy of the wonderful staff at both the Renner Frankford and Timberglen branches!!
- Lisa
The library inspired my son to love to read.
- Stephanie
This library has a small, cozy setting and fantastic librarians who are willing to help and assist. The selection is great, but the staff and environment are what make this library so special.
- Allyson
I love my library because they make me feel welcome and seen. They are always very helpful and warm. It feels like family.
- Ken
The Highland Park library is a beautiful building with friendly staff and a wonderful selection of books. It's very peaceful to browse the shelves and enjoy the quaint surroundings looking at books.
- Allyson
To all the librarians at the Dallas Public Library, I would like to express my sincere thank you for your support and guidance every time I visit the library. Your help and knowledge each time I need something is second to none. I am truly grateful for your expertise and dedication to your profession. Thank you for all that you do and I hope this note show you just how much you are appreciated!
- Michael
My library is very spacious and it feels very relaxing to sit and quietly read a book there. If it’s cold, the library has a cozy place by the fireplace to sit and enjoy coffee and read a book of my choice. There is a separate section for the kids and their activities. My library also has a big conference room where a lot of events are held for the town and the high school. My library also conducts book drives regularly so we get opportunities to donate books. I love to spend my free time reading books in my local Chelmsford library. ♥️
- Monisha
Modern touch - I am hoping that more people visit our public libraries as time progresses. The general consensus is that the 'COOL' places to peruse new books and hangout/read is coffee shops or Barnes & Noble and similar retailers, but Dallas County public libraries are stocked with new releases, NYT bestsellers as well as classics and aged editions. We must not forget that libraries are still a cornerstone of scholastic and leisurely learning for every age, demographic and area.
- Ken
This library is nicely kept, and is great to take the kids for some fun outside of the house. The kids area is clean, and they love to color, look at books and play here. The staff is wonderful!
- Allyson
The staff is very kind, knowledgeable, and always willing to help! I love that it's kid-friendly for multiple ages, and there's a liveliness here that you don't always experience when taking children to a library.
- Allyson
Thank you for continuing to help our communities prosper!
- Krystal
I have not been to the library in a few years anymore, but it was all because of the many trips to the library as a kid that I have my own large personal collection of books. Books have shaped the person I have become and I believe every child and adult deserves the easy access to their knowledge.
- Lauren
Libraries battle for attention versus being a device (phone/tablet/laptop) used for entertainment value. I appreciate that the Dallas Downtown Library remains a place you can find material needed to apply one's self for an assignment or for quiet reading enjoyment. Thank you for remaining open, available, and current in materials. And, thank you to all of the Dallas Library staff for their devotion to the clientele of the Library!! You are greatly appreciated !!
- Teresa
I can honestly say that I've never had a negative interaction with any staff member at any of the libraries that I visit in Dallas County. They are all very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Even when I don't know what I'm looking for or needing. I can ask any staffer for assistance. Thank you all for loving what you do, it shows! Thank you!
- Andrea
I was born in Dallas and still live here. I used to live next to Casa View library and walked there multiple times every week to check out books. Now I live near Skyline and White Rock Hills and my toddler son asks to go to Skyline Library every week. I love how kind and patient the staff members are with him, even though he runs around a lot. We love everything about the libraries we visit (Skyline, Lochwood and WRH mostly) and we wish everyone in the city would support their local library.
- Robyn
Everyone deserves the chance to explore new worlds that only books can provide!
- Lauren
Books can transform people's lives, and everyone deserves a chance at that! Libraries empower!
- Lauren
Thanks to all the WONDERFUL library workers. I appreciate you a lot. Stay safe and take care!
- Shiv
I love libraries because they are community centers where you can meet other people attend story time, discussions, join a book club, do your work/homework, get the news and use a computer. Libraries also level the playing field. It doesn’t matter how much money you have or how much you don’t, what gender you associate as, whether you are married or single, have a GED or a PhD, all resources in the library are available to you in equal measure. "You are all so awesome and important to us out here in the general community. Thank you again.
- Shiv
Public libraries are a valuable partner for everyone as they invest and helps in the mental and social development. They offer a vast array of materials on a wide variety of subjects to help people learn about themselves and the world around them, and they offer an opportunity to socialize with other children and adults. "Thank you for your continued service in whatever manner is safest. We're lucky to have your help. The library is an indispensable part of my life."
- Shiv
I love the library because not only can I come and find a quiet corner and get lost in stories of love, adventure, and new experiences but also because I am able to learn through the stories of the people who work there. I remember the people who worked tirelessly at my library to help me find a book I have been longing to read, or the helpful volunteers who would come each week to read children's stories. All these memories make me appreciate all the hard working people at the library and I am thankful that the library is a place where I can go to and feel accepted and loved. I hope this note reaches someone and makes them feel the same way!
- Vaishnavi
Thank you to all the hardworking staff across all the branches. The library has always held a special place in my heart. When I was kid it was the place I would go to each week to collect a new story, and soon grew into the place where I would spend most my time studying and reading textbooks to learn new
material in high school. Every step of the way, the people and atmosphere of the library made me into who I am today. Thank you!
- Vaishnavi
I have always loved the library ever since I was a kid. I remember my mom bringing me to the story telling events every week as someone would read my favorite books. I always felt like I was a part of the story as I listened to what I didnt know then, were life lessons. The library gave me countless stories and memories that I cherish till today.
- Vaishnavi
They offer book groups for kids, teens and adults to promote reading amongst varies age groups. The branch also offers services for individuals that do not have access to a personal computer. They are able to use resources to fax, make copies and use media content. The staff is always friendly and willing to assist. There are times, the library will host activities for anyone wishing to sign up after hours tp build up the community.
- Tamara
Sending love this season to the hard-working librarians at the Dallas Public Library! Your tireless efforts to help each book lover find the perfect book and build a core memory for every child that walks into the library are seen and appreciated. Thank you for all that you do!
- Vaishnavi
Good times and great books, as well as great friends to share it with.
- Wynter
Thank you for all that you do. Reading is very fundamental to our lives. Thank you for providing your services and time. Please know that you are very important and needed.
- Acame
I can walk out with bags of books and all my money in my pocket. This helps to be more adventurous in my reading.
- Wynter
The staff is always so kind and helpful. They don't mind helping out when someone needs help.
- Wynter
I appreciate the hard work the librarians each. There may not be good days each day, but you still tirelessly help serve our community. Thank you!
- Tamara
I love reading and there are so many different stories and life experiences that you can discover at the library. As young kids we would go to the library on Saturdays and have books that we would read and then trade with each other. It opened up our world, showing and teaching us about things that we may never encounter face to face but our horizons were broadened. It connected me to a world beyond my neighborhood.
- Andrea
I live right across George W Hawkes library in Downtown Arlington and most of my time apart from my working schedule is spent in library and I know reading has been the big difference in my life. Thank you to the library and staff for doing such a great job in our society. I try to read two books in a month rather than watching TV series or movies. Books to me are life-enriching. And I appreciate all your continued efforts and excellent service during every time someone is at your library
- Shiv
The Downtown Dallas library is rare nowadays in that it is a physical location (not online) that you can go to have a nice, quiet place to read or complete a project you are working on that requires multiple sources of information. The environment allows for me to have quiet and comfortable space for my thoughts and creativity. I have utmost respect & appreciation for the staff in keeping this facility kept up, clean and well-managed!!!
- Teresa
I appreciate the hard work the librarians each. There may not be good days each day, but you still tirelessly help serve our community. Thank you!
- Andrea
My husband gives me less looks when I come home with free books. But it also makes story time with the kids even more fun, when they can learn about things that they could have never dreamed of unless it was in a book.
- Wynter
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your invaluable service, you're ongoing, relentless work does not go unnoticed.
- Cheryl
I like the sense of community, the library always offers different projects for espcially during the summer to keep kids active. Thank you for being patient with the little people

Council Member District 9
I love my library as it always brings back fond childhood memories. I remember walking there after school with my friends. We use to go there to study together or to do our research papers. Everyone was always so nice and helpful.
- Julie
loved when the bookmobile came to my neighborhood when I was younger. It allowed for me to get books without having to get to the library which wasn't always convenient for my parents. The access to these books created a love for reading I still carry today and have passed onto my children.
- Elena
Throughout my childhood, this was a go to spot to sit and do homework. Whenever my mother did not understand, I would ask the staff for some help, and I'll forever remember Patricia. There's not a memory in the library without her. As well, I went to high school up the block, and all my 4 years I'll go to this specific library and study, read books. Whenever I was assigned a book, I had no worry because the staff would find it prior to me arriving. It was always so welcoming! I'll forever have this library close to my heart!
- Jasmin
I live in Newport RI and I ove the library because it brings back memories of when I worked there when I was a teenager. That was the best job that I ever had and wish that is something that I could still be doing today. The patrons and coworkers are people that have stuck with me for any years. Thank you for everything you do everyday!
- Elena
The library is allowing my daughter to be involved, provide her input and show all that she is capable of creating. We live in RI and she is helping to build the teen section of the local library. We are so fortunate to have amazing people to support our children in so many different ways. Thank you for providing such amazing opportunities to the children of your community.
- Elena
I I love that library staff empower Dallas residents with knowledge! - Laura
Thank you to all the staff at my local library, your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed!
- Jenn
Reading and the library has taught my children so much. It has helped them to bond with each other, make friends and provides a safe place for them to volunteer and meet up with friends.
- Elena
The Library is very vital and fundamental to our everyday lives. The information and the skills that the Library gives us is very crucial to our education and training. I appreciate the Library Staff, and all the time and effort they put in to ensure the public has access to the tools we need to be successful in todays world. Thank You!!!!!
- Acame
The Dallas Library always seems to have just the information that I need for the effort or research activity I'm working on. I appreciate the effort to keep all the materials updated and available as it is a monumental task which never ends. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
- Teresa
I love the library because of the memories I have bringing my children to storytime for years. After storytime, we would check out books to take home to read. Now that my children are grown, I hope they remember the fond memories of storytime and continue to read!
- Juliette
There are many reasons why I love my library: 1) the branch is close by my home, 2) the staff is friendly and helpful, 3) it is accessible via its website, and 4) requests for books and DVDs are fulfilled reasonably fast. I also love my library as reading is one of my hobbies. I want to thank all of you (local and system-wide) for your help!
- Gerald
I can order books online and an pick them up at curbside, which is totally great for those of us who are becoming more and more “senior citizens” with accompanying mobility issues.
- Nancy
I love the Library because it provides the information and knowledge that we need for our education and task that we complete in our everyday lives. I greatly appreciate the Library staff, and their services and time that they give to ensure we have all the tools we need. You are needed and I appreciate you. Thanks.

When I moved in June 2022, one of the first things I did was chart out how to get to my new library. I want to send a big thank you to the Lochwood library for getting me through COVID with the library to go service. The staff was always so friendly and organized getting pick up appointments set up. My new branch is White Rock Hills and I love it there too! The staff helped me out switching my default library and everyone smiles and waves even when I’m in and out to pick up from the holds shelf. I truly love the library and am happy to send my thanks to library staff!!

I have loved books, reading, and the library my whole life! I love browsing the book shelves when I have time, or accessing the card catalog online when I’m busy. An email alerts me that my books are waiting for me on the shelf. The staff at Fretz Park are efficient and helpful. The ambience of the library is quite peaceful, especially along the windows facing Beltline. Keep up the great work!

When I have "library" on my list of errands for the day, I try to place it last because I know it will be a good moment, a great way to finish my list. The staff at my Forest Green Library are always friendly and eager to help. When I recently waited too long to pick up a book on hold and discovered it had been returned, the librarian did her magic, and I received notice that it was back in just a couple of days! I so appreciate the spirit of service I feel in the library staff. I also deeply appreciated the innovative ways the library supported me through covid!

I visited the Central Library for first time in decades and appreciated
the helpfulness of the staff. Everyone is welcomed at the public library and more people should visit a DPL branch! Thanks for all that you do :)

Always a smile! Always helpful! Always present! That describes the staff at Paul Laurence Dunbar Lancaster Keist branch and that's why it's my second home.

I love the Dallas Public Library and specifically my branch White Rock Hills. The folks there are friendly and helpful. The library has an awesome collection. The online software for reserving books is wonderful. My life is much richer. Thanks to the library.

Thank you to Ronnie Jessie for providing me with withdrawn books for my little free library! I share them in my box and in the LFLs in my area. Happy Valentines Day, Ronnie!
